Simplii referral link: a $50 bonus on top of $350

Simplii's referral bonus works through a link, so there's no code to type. Open a No Fee Chequing Account through the referral link and you can get a $50 referral bonus plus Simplii's $350 welcome offer, which runs until January 31, 2027.

There's no code box. Simplii's terms say you must click through the referrer's link to reach the application form.

Choose the No Fee Chequing Account and fill in the application from that page.

If you apply on simplii.com directly, you can still get the $350, but not the $50. Simplii can't add a referral afterwards.

How to get the full $400

Open the Simplii referral link and choose the No Fee Chequing Account.
Apply as the primary account holder by January 31, 2027.
Deposit at least $100 within six months and keep $100 or more in the account for 30 days. That earns the $50 referral bonus.
Within 150 days of opening, set up a recurring direct deposit of at least $100 a month, such as your pay or pension.
Once 4 months in a row of deposits have landed, the $350 follows within 3 business days.

Rules that cancel the bonus

Applying without the link. No link, no referral bonus.
Having banked with Simplii since November 1, 2017. The $50 is for new clients only.
Holding a Simplii product before. The $350 doesn't apply if you were a primary account holder on or before March 23, 2026.
The wrong kind of deposit. Interac e-Transfers and transfers between accounts don't count as direct deposits.
Missing the windows. 6 months for the $100 deposit, 150 days for the 4 months of direct deposits.
Closing the account early. It must be open and in good standing when each bonus is paid.

Each bonus is paid once per person, however many accounts you open.

Who can use this link

The link is for residents of Canada outside Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. Simplii's products aren't available in Quebec.

For the $50, you must have had no banking relationship with Simplii since November 1, 2017.
For the $350, you must not have held a Simplii product as the primary account holder on or before March 23, 2026.
Simplii can change or end these offers at any time.

How much is the Simplii referral bonus?

$50 for the new client. Open a No Fee Chequing Account through the referral link, deposit at least $100 within six months and keep $100 or more in the account for 30 days. Simplii's $350 welcome offer for No Fee Chequing runs until January 31, 2027, so the total can reach $400.

How do I get the $350 welcome offer?

Open a new No Fee Chequing Account as the primary account holder by January 31, 2027. Within 150 days, set up recurring direct deposits of at least $100 a month and have them land for 4 months in a row. Simplii pays the $350 within 3 business days after that.

Can I get both the $350 and the $50?

Simplii's chequing page shows both offers together, and the $350 terms say that offer can be combined with all other offers unless otherwise indicated. The referral terms say that bonus can't be combined unless Simplii specifically says so. If the full $400 matters to you, confirm with Simplii before you apply.

What if I open my account without the link?

Then there's no referral bonus. Simplii says the friend must click through the referrer's link to reach the application form, and it can't add a referral afterwards.

Who can use the Simplii referral link?

Residents of Canada outside Quebec who have reached the age of majority and have had no banking relationship with Simplii since November 1, 2017. Simplii's products aren't available in Quebec.

Can I use the link for the Cash Back Visa instead?

Yes. If you open a Cash Back Visa through the link, spend at least $100 on it within six months to earn the $50. You get one referral bonus, even if you open more than one account.

When is the $50 paid?

Within 30 business days after you meet the requirements. Your account has to be open and in good standing when it's paid.

What does the person who referred me get?

Simplii pays the referrer a bonus too. It comes from Simplii, and your $50 is the same either way.

Is my money safe at Simplii?

Simplii Financial is a division of CIBC, and deposits are held by CIBC, a member of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC).
